Waiting room<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

If you come on consultation and have a cold, flu or cough: be sure to wear a face mask before entering the practice building.<\/p>

If there is a strong suspicion of Covid: please wait in the hall instead of sitting in the waiting room.<\/p>

Fall Vaccination Schedule 2025<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

This fall, we are planning the following vaccination schedules:<\/p>

Saturday, October 4: Covid
Saturday, October 18: Covid
Saturday, November 15: Flu and\/or Covid<\/p>

These vaccination\u00a0 are free.<\/p>

Vaccinations can also be administered during a regular consultation with the usual payment<\/p>

Types of Vaccines<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

Covid<\/u> vaccines will be available starting October 1. They are available free of charge from us.<\/p>

Flu vaccines<\/u> are ideally administered in November. They are available without a prescription at the pharmacy (for the target group) and should be stored in the refrigerator.<\/p>

Since last year, two enhanced flu vaccines<\/u>\u00a0 available . They are more effective, but also more expensive. They are reimbursed through an application by us. The criteria are explained below.<\/p>

Since this year, an RSV vaccine<\/u> has also been reimbursed. RSV is an infection that can cause a serious respiratory infection in older and vulnerable people and can lead to hospitalization. The reimbursement criteria for this vaccine are also explained below.<\/p>

Who is entitled to reimbursement for vaccines?<\/strong><\/p>

Flu vaccine<\/u><\/p>

Reimbursed at the pharmacy without a prescription for people aged 50 and over.<\/p>

Reimbursed with a prescription for those under 50, with a doctor’s approval.<\/p>

Recommended for people with a chronic condition (heart, lungs, kidneys, diabetes, immune disorders, and other chronic conditions), pregnant women, and also healthcare providers and family members who live in close contact with people in a risk group.<\/p>

Flu vaccine with enhanced protection<\/u><\/p>

Given the very recent development of these vaccines, their added value is not yet fully understood. They are only reimbursed for people over 65 who meet certain conditions (and for people residing in an institution) with a prescription and a doctor’s certificate.<\/p>

Therefore, this vaccine is always prescribed by a doctor . Otherwise, it is not reimbursed.<\/p>

Covid vaccine<\/u><\/p>

Recommended for people aged 60 and over<\/p>

Also recommended for people with a chronic condition<\/p>

For pregnant women, only recommended after doctor\u2019s advice<\/p>

Healthcare providers and people caring for vulnerable people<\/p>

RSV<\/u><\/p>

They can be administered from September on<\/p>

They may be administered in cobbination with a flu vaccine<\/p>

They are only reimbursed for people over 65 with at least one risk factor (Chronic heart disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic lung disease, diabetes, severe obesity, cancer patients treated in the past 5 years, patients on immunosuppressive medication)<\/p>

Always call your doctor for advice, to prescribe the vaccine, and to request reimbursement from your health insurance provider before you can get the vaccine from a pharmacy.<\/p>

RSV vaccination for pregnant women<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

Please discuss this with your doctor, as there are two options:<\/p>

One option is a (reimbursed) RSV vaccine for the pregnant woman.<\/p>
